Biography:
Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face, is a fictional character appearing in DC Comics, first appearing in Detective Comics #66 in August 1942.
Once Gotham City's youngest District Attorney, Harvey Dent was a charismatic and incorruptible champion of justice. He worked closely with Batman and Commissioner Gordon to combat organized crime, effectively weakening the powerful Falcone crime family.
However, during a trial involving Sal Maroni, Dent was tragically disfigured when Maroni threw acid in his face during the proceedings. This event scarred half of his face, both physically and psychologically. Driven mad by the trauma and feeling betrayed by the very justice system he believed in, Dent embraced a life of crime.
Adopting the persona of Two-Face, Dent makes all his important decisions based on the flip of a two-headed coin, one side scarred like his face. This represents the duality of his nature: the once-righteous Dent and the vengeful, unpredictable criminal.
